The Kit Stairs Process

Our focus is on you

During our virtual meeting, we will ensure that your staircase looks and feels like yours, and will fit your home. Our team will talk you through design options and guide you through critical measurements - no details are spared.

When you order with Kit Stairs, you can rest assured your staircase will be just how it should be.

01 — Have a design in mind?

Already have a design in mind? Start the process and get in touch with us. You can upload photos, plans and concept drawings through our Contact Us page.

Kit Stairs do not provide an onsite sales service, so please already have plans or concept drawings before you begin. We’ll be unable to help you without them.

02 — Phone Consultation

A helpful member of the Kit Stairs team will be assigned to your request and contact you once we’ve received your enquiry. Together we will go over your staircase concept, materials, budget and construction method styles.

03 — Virtual Design Meeting

Together through a virtual meeting, we will collaborate, finalise your quotation and answer any questions you might have. Through screen sharing, you are completely involved in the design process. Any required amendments can be made live as we talk.

Upon completion of our meeting, you will be sent your quotation as well as a customised site measure sheet for you to confirm all the critical measurements we need for your staircase.

04 — Finalise your measurements

After you have completed your final measure, simply send it back to your design consultant. We will contact you if any amendments are needed on your design, and confirm that your price has not changed.

05 — Place your order

When you’re ready to order your staircase through Kit Stairs, simply sign your quotation and email it to your design consultant. Kit Stairs will send you an invoice for payment and processing.

06 — Final Approval on Design

  • Once payment has been made, you will be provided with a copy of your full shop drawings for final checking. This will be the final opportunity you are able to make any changes on your design.

  • You will need to confirm all measurements, materials and construction methods before we begin manufacturing your staircase.

  • Any and all errors in design, measurements or materials after your design has been approved is your responsibility. Please take the time to ensure everything is correct.

07 — Manufacture and Delivery to Site

Kit Stairs will begin manufacturing your staircase at the most relevant facility to you. Everything is manufactured locally in Australia. Lead times may vary due to design, timber availability and the current volume of orders, however our team will update you throughout the process.

Once manufacturing is complete, we will provide freight tracking numbers or a dispatch address for pick-up.
